MRS. JOHN A. HALE - WIFE OF FORMER ENGINEERS EMPLOYE DIES AT BAPTIST - Mrs. Mary Alderson Hale, wife of John A. Hale of 778 Atlantic, died at 1:30 yesterday afternoon at Baptist Hospital after a long illness. Services will be at 2 tomorrow afternoon at National Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elmwood. Born in Potts Camp, Miss., Mrs. Hale had been a Memphian since she was a small girl. She was a member of LaBelle Baptist Church. Her husband is a retired employe of the Corps of Engineers. She also leaves a son, William Diamond Alderson of 1815 ElDorado; three brothers, Claude Morton of Pontotoc, Miss., and Jim Morton and Willie Morton, both of Ecru, Miss.; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Chaston and Mrs. Grace Peden, both of St. Paul, N.C., and Mrs. Lacy Watson of Etta, Miss.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
