Mrs. Effie May Carmony, 69, 239 Hoyt Ave., died at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the home of her nephew, Earl Richards, R.R. 2, Fairmount, after an extended illness.
She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church at Matthews.
Other than Richards, she is survived by several other nieces and nephews; and a brother, Daniel E. Richards, R.R. 2, Fairmount.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Harmony Baptist Church. Rev. Lawrence Carter will officiate. Burial will be in Vinson Cemetery at Summitville. Friends may call at the Hunt Funeral Home in Fairmount after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
