Verna O. Lassiter Dec. 12, 1911 --_Oct. 27, 1998 Verna O. Lassiter, 86, of Denair died Tuesday at Elness Convalescent Hospital.
Mrs. Lassiter was a native of Cave City, Ark. She lived in Denair 38 years. She was an employee of Armour for many years. And she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church, Hughson. She is survived by her children, Eugene Lassiter of Manteca, Alvis Lassiter of Hughson, Kenneth Lassiter of Oakley, Tressy McCollum of Turlock, Glenna Griffith of Oakdale, Jean Nail of Fresno and Barbara Collum of
Visalia; brother, Hestle Matlock of Porterville; sister, Ovella Cummings of Akron, Ohio; and 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Whitehurst Norton & Dias Chapel, Turlock. Burial will follow at Denair Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the chapel.
