Obituary
HYDE - On the 25th day of March 1876, Phoebe A., wife of William H. Hyde, in the 36th year of her age.
After a severe and painful illness of about seven hours, death came to her relief. She was a dutiful wife and a kind and affectionate mother; she leaves a husband and seven small children and many friends to mourn her loss, but we feel assured that our loss is her gain. She was mild and lovely while here, but oh! ger morning sun has gone down at noon-time, and we can only say "the Lord's will be sone, not ours." Deceased experienced a change of heart and joined the M. E. Church at the age of 12 years, and lived a faithful, consistent member from that time until she was called to join the church triumphant in heaven.

The Angel Reapers
The Angel Reapers, reaping in love,
Gathering the wheat for the farners above,
Ever so watchful that heaven may gain
All the beautiful, golden grain
Entered our circle and there they found
One loved Idol, and gathered her home.
Home to that beautiful haven where
(So firmly bound by faith and prayer)
She found the home where the angels dwell,
Found her dear Saviour she loved so well,
Safe on his breast, she told him all the sorrow and pain
She had suffered here, till the Reapers came.
Well done, thou faithful, toiling one,
Thy sorrow's healed, thy work all done,
Enter into rest and share with me
The blissful joys of eternity;
There clothed in the robes of spotless white
She wears the grown of gold so bright.
Why do we mourn in anguish here?
Why do we shed affections tear?
Thought the hearts tender chord is riven
We shall tie them again in heaven,
Yes, blessed thought, on that beautiful shore
We'll meet her again, to part no more.
