Obituary
Clara Louise Hyde, 82, of Memphis, MO passed away July 11, 2006 at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital, in Memphis. Clara was born on June 18, 1924, the daughter of James and Ella McIntosh. Clara married Arthur Hyde, Jr., on Dec. 31st, 1942 at the home of her parents, and to this union two sons were born. She was working at the Sheaffer Pen Co. in Ft. Madison, IA at the time of her marriage. She also worked at a factory in Keokuk, IA, later going to work in the kitchen for SCR-1 school system. After the Scotland County Memorial Hospital opened in 1970, she went to work for them as Dietary Supervisor. She retired after 18 years of service. She lived her whole life in Scotland County on various farms, before moving into the RCF in 2003. Clara is survived by two sons: James A. Hyde and his wife Connie of Eldon, MO, their children: Mike (Holly) Hyde of Jefferson City, MO, Tina Hyde of Sunrise Beach, MO, Curtiss(Cindy) Hyde of Eldon, MO and Carrie (Charles) Embich of Sunrise Beach, MO. Dennis L Hyde and wife Nancy of Burlington, IA and their daughters: Mickie L. (Josh) Byers of Polk City, IA, Kelsie D. of Burlington, IA, six great-grandchildren, and one sister Irene Jameson and her husband Bob of Lawton, OK., several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister Lavon Keller. The family has suggested memorials to the Brock Cemetery or the Memphis United Methodist Church and may be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison, Memphis, MO 63555. Funeral Services were held July 15, 2006 at the Payne Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Terry Lippstreu, officiating. Music was provided by Joan Hinds and Anna Lynn Kirkpatrick. Pallbearers were Ron Keller, Larry Keller, Randy Woods, Brian Jameson, Vaughn Biggs and Steve Morris. Interment was in the Brock Cemetery, rural Scotland County, Missouri. Arrangements were under the direction of the Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO.
