Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Wisser
Another milestone will come next Sunday for Gustav G. Wisser, retired dean of the Chamber of Commerce staff, when he and Mrs. Freda Wisser celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.
An honorary life member of the Chamber, Mr. Wisser retired in 1940 after 64 years of his service. He had been manager of the statistical department and Executive Secretary of the Mercantile Exchange. He was made an honorary life member in his 60th year with the organization.
Mrs. Wisser is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Agger. Her father for years was a furniture manufacturer in the West End.
The Wissers, who live at 1315 Laidlaw Ave. Bond Hill, have a son and a daughter, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Born October 22, 1862, Mr. Wisser entered the Chamber of Commerce employ at 14 as office boy for the late Col. Sidney Maxwell, then Superintendent of the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce and Merchants Exchange.
In addition to serving with the chamber, he was also for many years, Secretary of the Bond Hill Welfare Association.
