Marjorie grew up in Mt. Grove on the family farm. She was the first to open a drug store on the square in Mt. Grove. It had a pharmacist, an ice cream soda counter with tables and chairs and many other asundries for daily living. Marjorie owned and operated Sun Valley Farms in Springfield. She bread and raised American Saddlebred show horses. Horse owners from everywhere took their horses to her farm to bread their horses with her famous stud horse. Marjorie's farm was open 24 hours a day for anyones horses arriving or leaving the farm.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Bob Absher.
Marjorie is survived be her husband Gary Covert; a son Gary Absher; and a daughter Kay Absher.
A graveside service Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens, Springfield.
