Nathaniel was born in Biddenden, Kent, England and baptised there on October 7, 1621. He was the son of John Stow and Elizabeth Bigge. Nathaniel came to New England with his parents and siblings before he was thirteen years old. He grew up in Concord, Massachusetts and married, about 1655, a woman named Elizabeth, but her family name is not known. They had three children and then Elizabeth died on June 8, 1661. The next summer, on August 20, 1662, Nathaniel married Martha Metcalf Bignell, the widow of William Bignell. Nathaniel and Martha had three children. Nathaniel died on May 30, 1684 in Concord. Martha lived as a widow until 1717.NATHANIEL STOW, 3rd son of John & Elizabeth (Bigg) Stow, weas baptized at Biddenden, Kent, 7 October 1621.
He married (1) by 1657 Elizabeth _____ (eldest known child b. Concord 29 June 1657).
He married (2) Concord 20 August 1662 Martha (Metcalf) Bignall, daughter of MICHAEL METCALFE {1637, Dedham} and widow of William Bignall.
