Ruth was the youngest daughter of Charlie Sanders and Martha Lowry Sanders; wife of Haskell Charles Thompson; mother of Peggy; and sister of Mary, Ethel, Hilbert, Edith, Eric, Lillian, Virgie, Joseph, and Joseph's infant twin sister.
After Haskell died in 1952, Ruth lived in her own house until the 1990's and worked at a local Drug Store and Brown's Department Store to support herself. She was thrifty, independent and a hard working woman.
