In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, John Louis Albea; one sister, Minnie J. Evans; and husband, Robert "Dit" Williams.
Donnie was a hairdresser early in her life. She worked 10 years at Berkley Mills. She raised her two sons following the passing of her husband, John, in 1971. In 1992 she married Dit Williams. Donnie will be remembered as a loving and adoring daughter, wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Those close to her will also remember her as a phenomenal baker and cook.
Donnie leaves behind her two sons, Greg Albea (Julie) of Mills River, NC and Chris Albea of Hendersonville, NC; stepson, Hayes Albea (Jennifer) of Etowah, NC; two stepdaughters, Brenda Gist (Gary) of Charleston, SC and J. Beth Williams of Greenville, SC; grandson, John Albea (Caroline) of Hendersonville, NC; granddaughter, Lindsay A. Bannister of Winter Garden, FL; granddaughter, Emily A. Violette (Jamie) of Hendersonville, NC; grandson, Brian Albea (Samantha) of Round O, SC; grandson, Cameron Albea and granddaughter Sarah A. White (Austin), both of Saluda, NC; granddaughters, Andrea A. Vallencourt (Mike) and Megan A. Nagy (Spence), both of Florida; granddaughter, Valerie Gist and granddaughter, Shelby Gist, both of South Carolina. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, Wyatt and Boone Albea, William, and Abigail Violette, all of Hendersonville, NC, Eliana and Adeline Vallencourt of Florida, and Amelia Flynn of South Carolina; two nieces; and a special caregiver and friend, Ellen Williams of Hendersonville, NC.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A graveside service will immediately follow the visitation in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
