Mildred "Mitzie" Dando, 76, of Cass Twp., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at her home.
Born Nov. 17, 1945, in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late James G. and Elizabeth A. (Reynolds) Achenbach.
Mitzie worked for the Democratic House of Representatives in Harrisburg for 25 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick "Fritz" Dando; son, Michael Dronick; grandson, Tyler Dronick; a sister, Nancy Robert.
Mitzie is survived by a sister, Jane Demko; a brother, James Achenbach and his wife, Theresa; a stepson, John Dando; nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held privately in Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA, 18 Wertz Drive, Pine Grove, PA 17965; www.rsmspca.org. Robert A.
