Jon Wilson Bouchard was born in Beverly, Mass. May 13, 1948, the son of Neil J. Bouchard,Jr. and Mary Helen (Oldham) Bouchard. He attended Beverly schools, graduating from Beverly High School in 1966. He was active in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and in high school was on the track team, where he held the Essex County Pole vaulting record; he also played guitar in a rock group, Billy and the Kids, where he met his wife, Donna O'Brien, the lead singer.
He started his working career in the chemistry lab at Stahl Chemical, in Peabody, Mass., at the same time attending North Shore Community College, where he earned an Associate degree in Chemistry. He obtained several chemical patents while working at Stahl.
During his 40 year career at Stahl, he progressed through many company reorganizations, becoming executive president of the Permathane and Performance Coatings Division of Stahl International. Although he traveled the world for many years, it was Stahl and it's employees that remained dear to his heart.
Surviving him, in addition to his parents, are his son,Jon R. Bouchard and his wife, Pamela, of NH.; a daughter, Megan E.; two grandchildren, Benjamin N. and Sarah C. Bouchard, of NH.; his former wife, Holly E.; a sister Gail A. Lynch and her husband,Michael;; a brother, Marc T. Bouchard of Salem; a former wife, Sally MacDonald and her son, Joseph of Blackburn, England; a sister-in-law, Susan Bouchard of Florida, and a former wife, Donna of Salem. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Neil D. Bouchard of Florida and a sister-in-law, Rita Bouchard of Salem.
Jon died Jan.3,2008, in Kaplan Family Hospice House, in Danvers, after a long illness. Funeral services were held Feb.1, 2008, at Campbell-Lee Moody Funeral Home, with burial in Central Cemetery.
