VERA (BUREL) HOLMAN, a resident of Bentonville, was born Aug. 25, 1915, in Buford, Ga., a daughter of Noah Milton and Callie Elizabeth (Davis) Burel. She died Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, in her home at the age of 88.
Mrs. Holman was a homemaker. She attended the Worldwide Church of God.

She is survived by two sons, Randy Jon Holman of Bentonville, and Jeffery Lynn Holman of Fayetteville; her daughter, Sandra Jo Holman of Salt Lake City, Utah; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

She was united in marriage with John Henry Holman who preceded her in death on March 12, 1971. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Callie Burel; a son, Jimmy Lyle Holman; a daughter, Ricki Dianne Smith; six brothers; and seven sisters.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville, with Mr. Frank Barnard officiating.
