On August 15, 2022, Hattie Fay (Cashion) Henson fell asleep and is awaiting the return of our lord Jesus Christ. Hattie Fay was born March 10, 1941, to the late Harden and Leona Cashion.

She grew up in Spencer, Oklahoma and was a graduate of Star Spencer High School.

During the 1960's she worked as a sales clerk and a gas station attendant during the same period. She then went on to work at Western Electric in the Engineering Department's assembly line for seven years.

On July 9, 1965, she married Richard Wayne Henson. Richard and Hattie Fay had two children, Melanie and Gerald. She always had a great love for God and a desire to serve him. She was kind, witty and willing to help others at a moments notice.

In 1972, she was introduced to The Way Ministry and took one of the first Power for Abundant Living classes offered in Oklahoma. Her deeper understanding of God's love, the assurance that she was heaven bound at Christ's return and the newly discovered understanding of how to live free from fear, gave her a new outlook on life. For the rest of her life she faithfully supported moving God's Word over the world by boldly speaking for him. No matter where she lived, what occupation she worked or what season of life she was in, she was busy about her heavenly Father's business.

In 1990, Hattie Fay entered the seventeenth Family Way Corps. Since graduating in 1993, she served whole-heartedly in various capacities. Throughout her life she continued to be a sterling example of someone who loved God, loved his word and loved people. Anyone who had the joy of getting to know and spend time with her was truly blessed.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Melanie Beth Shoop (Victor) and Gerald Wayne Henson (Stephanie); sister, Fannie McChesney; grandchildren, Nick and Victoria Shoop, Greg and Preston Henson, and great-grandson, Ethan Shoop.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor Hattie Fay.
