Word was received in this city yesterday by Miss Virginia Eddy of the death at Los Angeles after a week's illness of Mrs. Anderson-Hall, wife of Sidney Hall, a retired veteran of the civil war. Mrs. Hall was formerly the wife of S. B. Anderson, who in the early 80's served as postmaster of San Jose and whose death occurred about 20 years ago. Mrs. Hall was born in San Jose where her entire life was spent until a few years ago, when she moved to Los Angeles. She will be remembered by a large number of people here as a member of many lodges, in which she took unusual interest and especially to the veterans of the G. A. R., she having been a national officer of the women's organizaton of the grand army.

Mrs. Hall was formerly MIss Nellie Eddy and was the daughter of William Henry Eddy, one of the survivors of the ill-fated Donner partly. She is survived by a brother, A. H. Eddy of Oregon, and by several nephews and nieces. The funeral will take place at Los Angles today and will be under the auspices of the Native Daughters of the Golden West.
