Betty Jane Hiner, 96, passed away on August 15, 2022 in Promedica Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in Camp Hill.

She was born on July 20, 1926 in West Fairview the daughter of Alma (Coover) Barnes and Chilton Barnes.

Betty worked as a Cake Decorator for Manbeck Bakery in Lemoyne and was a Homemaker.

She was a member of the Opossum Hill Union Church in Carlisle.

Betty was a member the Ladies Auxiliary of the U.S. Navy Reserves.

She enjoyed the time she spent with her family and doing her crafts - which included knitting.

Betty will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Christian Hiner; her daughter: Suzette Barrick; her son: John M. Maskarine, Sr.; and, her ten sisters and brothers.

Betty is survived by her son-in-law: Dennis Barrick; and, her nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 09:30 - 10:00 AM in Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle. Celebration of Life Service will begin at 10:00 AM with Pastor Randy Zook officiating.

A Committal Service and Burial will follow at 01:30 PM in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
