Ted was the son of Iler Benton Albert and Magdalena Johnson Albert; husband of Virgie Sanders Albert; father of Inez, Melvin, Gloria and Patricia; and brother of Mildred, Edward, Janet, Darric, Lee, Noble and Bert.

He was a bus driver for the Oklahoma City Bus Company.

Ted, his wife (Virgie), daughter (Patricia Dare) and grandson (William McCormick) were murdered in Oklahoma City on August 5, 1960.
