Miss Minnie New married James Newton McAdoo on 11 March 1895. To this union were born four boys and four girls. Her husband and four children preceded her in death.
Mrs. McAdoo was converted and joined the Baptist Church at an early age and lived a consecrated Christian life. She loved her church and her pastor. A good many years of her life were spent in and near Iredell. Services were held in the Baptist Church where she had worshipped so long and where she had her membership. Rev. Tennison brought the message.
She was laid to rest in the new cemetery by the side of her husband.
Survivors include her children - Eula Hutchins, Blanche Royal, Estelle Parvin, Ella Mae Kelly; two brothers - Ed New, Harry New; one sister - Laura Pike; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
