He was a member of Snow Hill Church of God, had worked with the Georgia Dept. of Transportation, and a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army.
Mr. Browning was preceded in death by his parents, Willey Stokes Browning and Rachel Pharis Browning.
Services were held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 6th in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home with interment following in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Rev. W.R. Connell will officiate.
Survivors include his wife, Lizzie Browning of Glenwood; 5 children, Malcom (Linda) Browning of Dublin, Faye Parker of Helena, Joy Clark of Alamo, Jan (Jessie) Willhite of Glenwood, Lisa Fowler of Vidalia; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
