Mrs. Thomas Baird, the former Ruth Maloney of this community, died Sept. 24 at Woodside, Long Island, N.Y. She was a daughter of the late R.C. and Mrs. Emma Maloney, former residents of Iosco, and later of St. Mary township.
Mrs. Baird had been a resident of Woodside for the past 20 years. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Michael Kemsey, her mother of Long Beach, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. James (Marie) Barker of New York, N.Y.; Mrs. Norman (Helen) Mack of Artesia, Calif.; Sister Theresa Marie (Irene) of Villa Scholastica, Duluth, Minn.; and Mrs. Peter (Ann) Colby of Long Beach, Calif.; and four brothers, Lloyd of Barron, Wis.; Harold, Norwalk, Calif.; John of Long Beach, Calif.; and Richard of Burbank, Calif.
The burial will take place today, Thursday at Long Beach, California.
She attended and graduated from the Waseca Sacred Heart school. Her father "Dick" Maloney passed away some years ago and is buried in Iosco Catholic cemetery.
The Maloney family resided on the farm now owned by Otto Frederick west of Loon Lake. When the Fredericks purchased the farm and took possession 28 years ago last March, the Maloney family moved to Wisconsin. It was while there, that Mr. Maloney passed away.
