Former Resident Interred Here - Mrs. Carrie [Bryan] Garsee of Tyler, Tex. died May 22 in Tyler after a lengthy illness. She was a former resident of Logansport (LA).

Services were held at the Rose-Neath Funeral home chapel Saturday, May 29 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Shelton Rogers, pastor of Mims Springs Baptist church, officiating. Interment was made at Mt. Olivet cemetery.

Survivors include three sons, Martin Garsee of Overton, Tex., Jimmy Garsee of Shreveport and Monroe Garsee of West Point, Ga., three daughters, Dovie Bolton and Alice Jackson both of Winona, Tex., and Lela Stark of Coeur D'e Alene, Idaho, one sister Annie Callender of Shreveport, two brothers, Robert Bryan of Huntington, Tex., and Luther Bryan of Huntington, 17 grandchildren - 36 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Grandsons were pallbearers.
