Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Barbara Wulf, passed peacefully from this earth August 9, 2022, at the age of 73. After 3 long years, Barbara is finally reunited with the love of her life, Paul Wulf, Sr. We consider ourselves blessed to have called her Mom.

Barbara was born to Ocie and Agnes Fikes on January 19, 1949, in Bay City, TX. She cherished her life as a wife and mother and was a role model to many. A devout Catholic, our mother instilled a deep love of God in all of her children. She enjoyed family vacations, and we were lucky to have made so many wonderful memories. She loved large family gatherings and spending time in the kitchen preparing great food. Mom was always happy to feed anyone willing to eat. She was often heard bragging about one of her 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild, plus 1 on the way.

Barbara opened Lollipop Daycare in 1994 and spent 15 years devoted to taking care of children. She was a mentor for many parents who have reached out and expressed their gratitude. Dedicated in her work, many times she would skip tuition when she knew someone was having a tough time. She would often open hours early or stay well after closing to accommodate parents and help them succeed. Several times, she would send children home with food just to make sure everyone had enough to eat.

Barbara's goal in life was to serve the Lord, which she did at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Brazoria, TX. Barbara was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Altar Society, and previously served several years on parish council. She served as a Eucharistic minister, Helping Hands, and assisted with church bazaars, CCE, VBS, and anywhere she was needed. Barbara had a great respect for the Virgin Mary and to praying the rosary.

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Wulf, Sr, her parents, her sister Vicki Doelitsch, her brother Timothy Fikes, brother-in-law Jan Kromka and her son-in-law Javier Valadez. She is survived by her children Veronica (Damon) Harvey, Paul Wulf, Jr, Diane Wulf, Tammy (Brian) Sanderson, and Curtis (Cheryl) Wulf. Grandchildren Travis, Dylan, Corey, Chelsea, Skyler, Ethan, Riley, Jacob, Hunter, Mariah, Bianca, McKenzie, and Curtis, Jr (CJ). One great-grandson, Aiden, and a great-granddaughter on the way. She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters Louis (Vlasta) Fikes, Thomas (Bernice) Fikes, Mary Nell (Carl) Jones, Dominic Fikes, Chris (Debbie) Fikes, Pat Kromka, and (Jimmy) Doelitsch. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers, one as an honorary pallbearer as he is currently serving overseas.

We know that God is pleased to have one of his kind and generous angels back in his arms, where she belongs. She will be sorely missed by those on earth. We take comfort in knowing that we will one day be reunited. Mom often said her reward will be in heaven and we have no doubt she is basking in those rewards that she has earned abundantly.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brazoria, with a rosary to be recited at 3:30 p.m., with a funeral mass to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Tin Pham officiating. Interment will follow in Brazoria Cemetery with a reception at the church hall. We would like to thank all of mom's friends from her church who have created their own family with mom. She truly loved each of you and spoke of you often. She was blessed to be loved by so many people.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Helping Hands at St. Joseph's in Brazoria, TX.
