Dona Sumner, 95, of Osage Beach, Missouri, died peacefully of Alzheimer's disease on Monday, August 8, 2022, at 8:20 a.m. at her home. Mrs. Sumner was born September 6, 1926, in Muhlenberg County. She was an assembler at the Motorola Factory, and a member of the Landmark Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Sumner; parents, Edward and Julie Carver; Stepmother, Mae Carver; sisters, Ruby Goff, Gracie Noffsinger, Juanita Hayes, and Mable Carver; and brothers, Clifford Carver and Jewel Bracken.

She is survived by her three children, Betty (Harold) Hall, Delano (Cheryl) Sumner, and Toni Sumner; grandchildren, Chuck Hall, Chris Lackhouse, Amy Brooks, Jane Sumner, John Sumner, Ben Sumner, Jamie Porquillo, Beth Slusser, Michael Hall, and Bonnie Parkman; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Jeromey Perry officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 am -12 pm at the funeral home.
