Larry Edward Clift, 78, of Soddy-Daisy, TN passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

Larry was a graduate of Red Bank High School and a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was a dedicated employee of Tri-State Government Service for many years until he retired.

Larry was a man who had past times which he loved dearly. They consisted of keeping a well-manicured yard, a clean car, playing golf with his family, and watching his grandson play baseball and granddaughter cheer. Some of his most precious memories were taking annual vacations with his in-laws. One of his greatest treasures was being able to coach his son, Brent, in baseball for years and watching his progress as he grew.

Larry fought a valiant fight against Parkinson's Disease for many years. In the final months of his battle, he took great joy in spending time with family, which included Krispy Kreme Doughnuts each week from his granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Bertie Clift.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, his son, two grandchildren, his brother, several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Legacy Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Parkinson's Foundation
200 SE 1st Street Suite 800 Miami, FL 33131.

A special thank you to the Staff of Hearth Hospice for their care and support during a difficult time, especially Michael, his nurse and his CNA, Teresa.

Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8911 Dallas Hollow Road, Soddy-Daisy, TN (423) 843-2525. Share your memories, stories, and photos at legacyfuneralhome.com.
