It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Alex. Alex Scott McAmis passed away unexpectedly on July 21st, 2022 at the age of 25. Our family is devastated and shocked by his loss.

Alex was born on November 25th, 1996 in Knoxville, TN.

He is survived by his mother, Donna Day McAmis; father, Greg McAmis; brothers, Tyler and Dylan McAmis; aunt, Kim Day George; uncles and aunts, Brad and Brandy Day, Mark and Suzy McAmis; cousins, Courtney McAmis Beaty and Corey McAmis, Jackson Day and Ethan Bolling; numerous extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. Alex had a multitude of deeply loved friends and touched the lives of so many people. Alex was loved immensely by so many.

Alex is preceded in death by grandparents, Jack and Bobbie Day, Ed and Bea McAmis; beloved uncle, Bill George.

Alex connected with nature and animals at a young age. Animals were naturally drawn to his tender loving heart. Alex was happiest while being surrounded by nature, camping, hiking and spending time in his hammock. He was an aspiring author, passion driven by Eastern Literature. He loved Naruto, Pokémon and playing video games. Music was very important to him as an extension of himself and life.

The family asks that you spend time with your children, take a walk amongst nature with your loved ones and celebrate enduring friendship, lifelong and beyond. This is what Alex would wish.

The Celebration of Life will be held at Click Funeral Home, located at 9020 Middlebrook Pike Knoxville, TN 37923 on Saturday, August 6th from 11 to 12, followed by a service at 12 noon.
