Troy Long, 91, of Summertown, TN, died Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at N.H.C. of Lawrenceburg.
A native of Fannin County, GA, he was retired from Murray Ohio Mfg. Co, a farmer and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Lexia Garland Long and one son, Larry Keith "Puckett" Long.
Visitation was on Thursday, March 31, 2005 after 5:00 p.m. at Pettus-turmbo Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Friday, April 1, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Pettus-Turnbo Chapel with Danny Huckaba and Rick Haislip officiating. Burial was in the Macedonia Cemetery.
Surviors are: his wife, Irene Long of Summertown, TN; six sons, Delbert Long, Virgil Long, Billy Long and wife Faye, Bobby Long and wife Iva Nell, Tommy Long and wife, Annette all of Lawrenceburg and Jimmy Long of Summertown, TN; two daughters; Darlene Smith and husband, Joe of Summertown, TN and Judy Carol Maynard of Lawrenceburg; two step-daughters, Joyce Barnes of Hohenwald, TN and Brenda Savage of Mt. Pleasant, TN; Twenty-six grandchildren; forty-two great grandchildren.
