Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Christian Church at two o'clock for Mrs. Earle Edward Butler, who passed away at a Wenatchee hospital Wednesday morning after a short illness. Rev. C. N. Stutsman officiated at the services.
Susie Missouri Haun was born October 3, 1895 at Gilmore, Missouri and was married to Earle Edward Butler on December 21, 1916 in Oklahoma. To this union was born four children, who with her husband are left to mourn the loss of a devoted Christian wife and mother. Mr. and Mrs. Butler and family moved to Chelan several years ago and have resided here since that time. Mrs. Butler was a member of the Christian Church and was one of its most active members, taking part in the church choir, as an officer of the church and also was teacher of one of the Sunday School classes.
The pallbearers were W. M. Emerson, L. L. Harn, Oscar Nicols, Joe Morton, Walter Peterson and Chris Long. Mrs. Walter Cagle, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Lester Morse, sang two sacred solos, "Abide With Me," and "Sometime We'll Understand." Interment was in the IOOF cemetery.
