Balthaazar Peter Lopez, 89, of Williamsburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 31, 2022, in his son's home. Balthaazar was a decorated veteran who served honorably in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, followed by his time with the Newport News Redevelopment and Housing Authority and M. Price Distributing. He proved himself to be a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his family. He is preceded in death by his wife, the love of his life of 62 years, Carol, his parents, Guadeloupe Lopez and Refugio Ornelas, and his sisters Josephine Guardado, Connie Olvera, and Tina Black.
There will be a viewing held at Bucktrout of Williamsburg Funeral Home on Thursday, August 11th, from 4 pm to 7 pm, where his family will be present to welcome loved ones. The funeral service will be held at St Olaf Catholic Church Friday, August 12, 2022, at noon. Balthaazar will be laid to rest alongside his wife at Williamsburg Memorial Cemetery immediately following the service.
