Note from a contributor: Elizabeth Sutton Cozad died about 1758 sometime after the birth of her youngest daughter, Abigail. According to The Cozad Family by Clerissa H. Tatterson published in the Hackers Creek Journal, Vol IV, Issue 2, Jacob Cozad is buried in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery "beside his two wives." The Bibliography attributes this statement to "Private Communications, Historical Society of Morris Town, N. J."
Note: The attached picture of a tombstone for "Elizabeth Cossart" is attached to the wrong person. It should be attached to Jacob's 2nd wife, Elizabeth Tingley. Efforts will be made to correct this.

Inscription
In Memory of
Elizabeth,
widow of Jacob Casad
who died March 12
1812, in the 88 year
of her age.
Which loving couple lived together
55 years & in the baptist church
50 years.
A virtuous woman - prudent and sincere
A tender wife and parent slumbers here
With Martha's care - she sill had Mary's part (?)
The world employ'd her hands - but heaven her heart
While here the adorn'd the doctrine she profess'd
Her course is finish'd and her soul's at rest
