Death is reaping a bountiful harvest in our midst at this time. Today we are called upon to announce the death of Wm. H. Bourne. He died on yesterday, at his residence in this city. Mr. Bourne had been in failing health for some months, so his death was not unlooked for. He was born in Kentucky Oct. 3, 1921, where he lived till 1874 when he took up his residence in this county. After a few years' residence in the country, he came to this city, where he continued to reside up to the time of his death.
While living in Kentucky Mr. Bourne was elected sheriff of Bath county, and served one term. He was elected a justice of the peace in Woodside township this county.
He leaves a widow, (a daughter of the late Washington Iles) and five children to mourn his death.
The funeral services will be held Sunday at the family residence, South Seventh street.
