Betty was born July 2, 1939 in Dadeville, AL to the late James Raymond Berry and Flora Mae Fomby Berry. She was a member of Cornerstone Church of God in Columbus, GA. She started her career in the sewing mills in Opelika, AL and retired from the grocery industry in Columbus, GA. She absolutely loved and adored her family and friends. She was a shopaholic, loved driving her car and thoroughly enjoyed family gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Thomas Turner, her children, Buford Randy Turner and Deborah Kay Turner, her parents, James Raymond Berry and Flora Mae Fomby Berry, siblings, James Junior Berry, Roy Lynn Berry, Mavis Berry Lusco, a daughter-in-law Kay Grantham Turner, and long-time companion Jack Buckner.
Survivors include her siblings, Mary Hall (Opelika, AL), Shirley Nolan (Granite City, IL), Peggy Dixon Moore (Fortson, GA), Billy Wayne Berry (Gayle) (Auburn, AL), Aylene Berry – sister-in-law (Valley, AL), Alice June Rosenbalm – sister-in-law (Poplar Grove, IL); grandchildren, Brandy Brown (Mike), Courtney McAbee (Michael), Bo Turner Greene, Cameron Greene (Lindsey), Nathan Greene (Taylor); great-grandchildren, Hope, Grace, Faith, Jaxson, Lucas and Raymond. Special thanks and gratitude to a nephew and his family, Chris, Sheila, Sam, Marcus, and Caroline Dixon. She was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews, Shannon, Shelby, Sarah, Josh, Cindy, Kathy, Scotty, Peewee, Levi, Jason, Connie, Mark, Johnny, Robbie, Timmy, Amy, Stevie, John Alan, Debbie, Cheryl, Greg, Mike and Darren.
