Worked at Calvary Cemetery and Immaculate Conception Church for 12 years and then worked at TDS in Elmira until illness forced him to leave three years before his death.
He loved making model cars, gardening, snowmobiling, and sitting around a good campfire. He was an animal lover, especially his dog and companion Sheba.
He leaves his mother Geraldine Quick Smith of Groton; his fiancé Joyce Walker of Alpine; his brother Craig Smith of King Ferry; and a large extended family and loved ones.
Memorial donations were directed to the Falck Cancer Center at the Arnot Ogden Hospital in Elmira or your local SPCA.
