As per the Commonwealth of Montana Certificate of death, James Rogan died in Big Spring, Fergus County, Montana. His body went to Lewistown where he was to be buried. Instead, as noted in the Butte Daily Post - 11 April 1908 p.3, his remains were shipped to Butte, Silver Bow County on April 10 where he was to be buried in the family plot in St. Patrick's Cemetery. James was 38 years of age, married at the time of death and worked as a miner. As per sexton records, James was finally put to rest on 13 April 1908.
