Leon was employed for 46 years at Grinnell Brothers as Organ Service Manager. SEE STORY BY CLICKING ON PHOTO Our first organ was a pump organ and although he could build an organ from scratch he was tone deaf. He would play by reading music but could not tell if he was hitting a wrong note. He always wanted me to play the organ for him and his favorite song was Home on the Range. As a young man, Leon was hired by Henry Ford to be his personal organ repair man when Henry purchased his first organ from Grinnell's. He also had an opportunity around 1941 to be a co-owner of a new company called RCA for $600. He chose to buy a house instead - always thinking of his family first. He loved to barbecue chicken on the grill and also loved to fish.
