"Bernard H Berger died at his home near Beemont Saturday September 3, after a brief illness following a stroke of apoplexy, aged 76 years, 2 months, and 15 days.
Mr Berger was born in Herford, Germany, June 19, 1851, coming to America at the age of 6 years, and has lived near Beemont ever since. He was married October 24, 1878, to Miss Dina Seitz and is survived by his wife and eleven children - Mrs Millie Schuenemeyer of Woollam, Augusta Berger of Beemont, Fred Berger of Murdo,SD, Edw Berger of Hemmingford, Nebraska, George Berger of Wayne, Nebraska, Arthur Berger of Rapid City,SD, Mrs Ernie Schumacher of Beemont, and Louis Berger of Beemont. Also 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at home Tuesday, conducted by Pastor W F H Schroeder of the Seventh Day Adventist Chuch of which Mr Berger was a member, Interment was in the Myers Home Cemetary."
