Sherry was born to Robert "Bob" and Juanita Massey in 1953 in Okemah, Ok. She lived in various places such as Wisconsin, Southern California and Wheeling, Illinois.

She met Ron Abraham when she lived in Wheeling while attending high school and they married around 1972. Sherry and Ron moved to Oklahoma sometime in 1972 or 1973 to care for her mother. She and Ron had a miscarriage of a baby girl in 1973. Later, they had a son, Michael and a daughter, Charrisa. Sherry and Ron had a tumultuous marriage and divorced in 1979 or 1980. Ron moved back to Illinois and Sherry remained in Oklahoma.

She worked at the Coca-Cola bottling company in Oklahoma City for several years. During her time there, she dated Mike Wagner for a couple of years and they had a daughter, Lynnette. Their relationship didn't work out after she left Coca-Cola to work at Chromalloy, Oklahoma Division.

Sherry left Coca-Cola and started work at Chromalloy as an aircraft parts inspector from around 1984 until her death in 2003. She enjoyed her work and loved the many friends she had while she worked there. During her time at Chromalloy, she met and married Larry Hathcock and together they had a son, Dolan. Larry and Sherry separated in 1993 or 1994 and ultimately divorced in 1998.

After she and Larry separated, She lived a single life and enjoyed her close relationships with her children and grandchildren.

Around 1998, she met an old co-worker from Chromalloy, Larry Dunn. She and Larry dated for a while and married in 2000. Larry was good for Sherry. She faced many struggles and sacrifices both financially, mentally and physically raising kids and some other issues stemming from her previous marriage. Larry Dunn held Sherry in high regard. He helped her get back on her feet in many ways. She felt alive and free he took her out on the town dancing, they traveled and went to the lake on their boat - I think that was her favorite activity.

In 2002, she was diagnosed with cancer. She did not let on exactly how bad it was in order to not upset her kids. She put up a good fight and seemed to be on her way to remission. But, in July of 2003, she went to the hospital for a check up and died suddenly while there.

She was a loving / caring mother to her kids and grandkids. She made so many sacrifices and often went without to make sure that the kids always had a roof over their heads and food on the table. She would make miracles happen every Thanksgiving and Christmas. I cannot express how missed she is by her kids and grandkids. She loved to go on long drives down back roads and listen to the radio.
