Mrs. Mayo, 89 years old, died Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Diversicare of Martin. She is a member of Long Heights Baptist Church and retired from Miller's Ham House. Mrs. Mayo was born on October 10, 1932 in Chester Co., TN to Augustus Ward and Eddie Pearl Floyd Knipper.
She is survived by her children Vickey (Deborah) Watkins of Pinson, Mark (Melody) Watkins of Dresden, Ronald Watkins of FL, Sandra (Bryan) Culpepper of Nashville, Billy (Carol) Mayo of Union City, Bobby (Sam) Mayo of Martin, Thomas Mayo of Union City, Shelia (James) Clement of Gleason and Theresa (Greg) Hatley of McKenzie, one sister Julie (Richard) Thomas of Jackson, fifteen grandchildren, and twenty seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Hurley L Mayo, son Field Watkins, sisters Helen Venable and Georgie Knipper and brothers James Knipper and Charles Knipper.
