Annie Laura Eaves, 89, of DeQuincy, Louisiana was born June 15, 1933 in Hebert, Louisiana and passed away peacefully July 23, 2022. Annie was an active member of First Baptist Church of DeQuincy, where she served in the preschool department for many years. She taught first, second, and sixth grade in DeQuincy and retired from the Calcasieu School Board after 38 years of service.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Bill Eaves; three children, Scotty Eaves and wife, Denise, Melanie Streams and husband, Scott, Tim Eaves and wife, Kimberly; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild on the way; and brother, Carey Etier of Columbia, Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by her son, Stacey Eaves; parents, Will and Emma Etier; four sisters and six brothers

Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 25th and the funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26th. The visitation and funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church, 201 South Pine Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery, DeQuincy, Louisiana.
