Batavia Daily News, March 17, 1979:

George P. Barlow, 73, of 46 Perry Ave. died Thursday March 15, 1979 in Manor Oak Nursing Home after a long illness. He was a mail carrier for 37 years before retiring in 1963.

Mr. Barlow served in the Army from 1942 to 1945. He was a member of Walter Klein American Legion Post, the First United Methodist Church, Wyoming Chapter 181 RAM, the Loyal Order of the Moose and Letchworth Chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons. He was a past master of Warsaw Masonic Lodge 549.

Surviving are his wife, the former Hazel Eustace; 3 stepdaughters, Mrs. Kenneth Lowe of Pavilion, Mrs. Clement Eckert of Kenmore and Jacquelyn Mercer of Los Gatos, Calif.; 4 brothers, Robert and Willard of Batavia, Kenneth of Connecticut and Albert of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; 7 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Weeks Funeral Home handled arrangements.
