Lawrence Ostlie was born Nov. 20, 1904, the son of Sever and Josephine (Knutson) Ostlie, in Northwood, where he attended school. He lived in Michigan and Seattle before moving to Northwood, where he worked as a laborer. He became a resident of Wahpeton Health Care Center in 1972.
Lawrence Ostlie, 94, Wahpeton, N.D., formerly of Northwood, died Saturday, June 19, 1999, in St. Francis Medical Center, Breckenridge, Minn.
He is survived by brothers, Allen (Dorothy), Northwood, and Arnold (Agnes), Seattle.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Herbert, Clarence, Art, Gilmore, Noel, Hassel, Clifford and Orie; and a sister, Marian Fletcher.

Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Bethania Cemetery , Northwood.

Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. today, Bilden Funeral Home, Northwood.
