Monte graduated from Buchanan High in 1955 and continued his education at The University of Missouri. He retired from McDonnell Douglas with over 30 years of dedication. Retirement didn't last long, for Monte as he immediately went to work for Lincoln County as 911 Director for 12 years. Monte was the founder of the E-911 in Lincoln County and the State of Missouri. He served on the Board for Lincoln County School District Board of Education and several terms as an Alderman for the City of Troy. In his earlier years he was a member of the Troy Kiwanis and Troy Masonic Lodge #34 A.F & A.M. Geneva and Monte were active members of First Christian Church of Troy for many years. He had a love for the Trojan Villa development where he served on the board for many years. Geneva and Monte were the housing coordinators for over 30 years. You would often see Monte delivering meals on Fridays for Lincoln County Council of Aging. When he wasn't serving his community, he liked to mow and take care of his tomatoes. Monte had a true passion for wood working and made several beautiful pieces of furniture. He devoted his life to his family and was always present for the events in his grandchildren's lives.
