Frank was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman from March 1951 to December 1952, and earning the Korean War Service Medal. He worked at Ball Band/Uniroyal in Mishawaka for approximately 40 years, and it was there he met Carol. They were married 56 years, and both shared the same birthday. Frank was a life-long fan of the University of Notre Dame, and worked as an usher at Notre Dame football games for 22 years. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in South Bend, and attended St. Brigid Catholic Church in Johns Creek. Frank will be missed by all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Carol, a son, Terrence, two sisters, Florence (Ike) Steffek, of El Paso, Texas, and Jeanette Dippel, of Evansville, Indiana, and a granddaughter, Kristen Kaminski, of South Bend. Survivors include a sister, Marion of El Paso, and his children Lawrence, Stephen, Daniel, Kathleen, and Colleen. Frank lives on in the memories of 14 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Frank's family would like to express their deep appreciation to Linda B., and Dagmar B. for their loving assistance, support, and visits during his extended health concerns.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at a later date at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Johns Creek, followed by interment at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA.
