Daniel Danielson war veteran dies:
Veteran of the Civil War and decendant of the original
settlers from whom thi borough was named died at the Soldiers Home Saturday Noroton Ct, The end came suddenly
and was a shock to Friends & Family, Mr Danielson was in his 86th year,He ws born in the Danielson Homestead on Broad St, now owned N.A. Gauthier,he spent most of his life there. During the Civil War he served in the 18th Connecticut Volunteers, He leaves one brother, Henry M Danielson, now a resident of Brooklyn Ct
Funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs Joseph Danielson on North Main St Danielson Ct.
Rev Harding W Gaylord, Pastor of the Westfield Congregational Church officiated.
The bearers were Oscar F Atwood,Williard Danielson,James Danielson and Walter Rawson.
A.F. Wood was the funeral director. 17 Sep 1927
