Martha Louise Block was born June 21, 1930 in Adaza, Iowa and passed away on May 28, 2010 in Long Beach, CA.
She is survived by her beloved husband of sixty-two years, Richard Thomas Block Sr. of Long Beach, CA; sister, Janie Brown of Fort Dodge, IA; brother, Vincent Monahan of Churdan, IA; four children, Richard Block, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Sharon Block; Tony Block and wife, Teresa; Christine and husband, Greg Hansen; Brian Block; five grandchildren, Martha and husband, Ronnie Fierro; Jeff Hansen; Margie and husband, Brian Clements; Mary Block; Jackie and husband, Brian McCausland; and three great-grandchildren: Tommy, Andy, and Emily Fierro.
Martha worked as a Director for over thirty years in group homes for mentally disabled children. She lived for family gatherings, taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and trips to Laughlin and Las Vegas.
There will be a service held on June 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Mortuary in Cypress, CA.
