Anna Jorgine Johansen was born Aug. 30, 1894, the daughter of Johan and Elen Johansen, in Vanvikan, Norway. She immigrated with her family to America in 1915 and settled in Duluth. She married Martin Haugland in 1917, in Grand Forks. They lived and farmed in Thompson. After retiring, they moved into Thompson. She is survived by daughters, Ruth (Raymond) Thompson, San Marcos, Evangeline (Robert) Lund, Ortings, Wash., and Vivian (John) Simon, Fargo; sons, Marvin (Eleanore), Anderson, Nev., Floyd, Franklin Park, Ill., Bernard (Charlotte), Gilby, N.D., James, San Diego, and Jerome (Miki), Camarillo, Calif.; 31 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
