Chester Lewis Sparks, age 70, died peacefully surrounded by his family on July 17, 2022, at his home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Chester is survived by his wife, Lisa Logan Sparks, his daughter Amy Ross Sparks Adams ( Mark); his beloved and cherished granddaughters, Autumn Brooke and Madison Hope, his sister, Betty, his sister, Joyce ( Jerry), his brother, Dale ( Gail), his brother James ( Susie), his brother Robert ( Peggy), his sister Barbara ( Mark), his aunt Barbara, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his brother, Benny ( Robin), and his brother-in-law, Ken. Chester was born on April1, 1952 in Madison County to the late Jesse and Margaret Sparks. He was surrounded by his seven brothers and sisters throughout his life, who showered him with love and laughter. He later went on to marry Lisa on December 22, 1972, where they spent nearly fifty years of marriage at the time of his death. They had one daughter, Amy, who was his pride and joy and his "Sidekick". He then went on to have two beautiful granddaughters, Autumn and Mady, who became the light of his life. He cherished his time with his family and loved them so very deeply. Chester was an avid horseman. He loved to ride horses and camp with friends. The Clay Farm was a second home to him for much of his life. He was also passionate about raising and hunting beagles. His friends, who were much like family to him, grew by hundreds over his seventy years. Chester was always the life of the party, the jokester, but also kind and giving, always with a smile on his face. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. He was a lifetime supporter of Caring Hearts benefit and always attended their annual ride and fundraiser. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Visitation will be held at Carlisle-Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday July 20, 2022 from 4 – 5 pm for family and 5 – 8 pm for everyone who loved Chester. The funeral will be Thursday July 21, 2022, at 10 am. The service will be presided by his brother- in-law, Mark Vice. The pallbearers will be Chris Stewart, Butch Adams, Jackie Watkins, Charlie Jones, Ricky Willoughby and Foster Bartlett.
