Pioneer Woman Buried Sunday
Mrs. Ann E. Hayes, for many years a resident of Hood River, died Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. J. Pritchard, of Portland, aged 89 years. Funeral services were held here Sunday at 2:30 o'clock at the home of her sister, Mrs. George P. Crowell.
Mrs. Hayes was born in Potsdam, N. Y., April 26, 1832. She is survived by three sons, J. F. Stranahan and F. E. Stranahan, of California, and W. C. Stranahan, of Portland, and three daughters, Mrs. Pritchard and Mrs. Gertrude E. Woodard and Mrs. L. I. Wright, of Portland. She was a member of the Eastern Star of Hood River.

Mrs. Ann E. Hayes, a resident of Hood River and Portland for 38 years, died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. J. Pritchard, of Sherwood. She was 89 years old. The body was sent yesterday to Hood River, where funeral services were held at 2:30 PM today from the home of Mrs. Hayes sister, Mrs. George P. Crowell.
Mrs. Hayes is survived by six children--Mrs. Lou I. Wright, Mrs. Gertrude E. Woodward and W. C. Stranahan, all of Portland; J. F. Stranahan of Pittsburg, California; F. B. Stranahan of San Francisco, and Mrs. Pritchard of Sherwood. Mrs. Hayes was a member of the Eastern Star and an active worker in the Congregational Church.
