She was a 1955 graduate of Marion High School and later attended Marion College. On Nov. 29, 1958 she married John Castillo, Jr. He preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 2004. For over 25 years Judy worked for Marion Community Schools as a teacher's aid in special education at Kendall Elementary and Riverview Elementary. Judy was a faithful member of St. Paul Catholic Church and volunteered over the years in various capacities. Judy had many interests including euchre club, playing the card game "hand and foot," going to garage sales, building puzzles and traveling throughout the United States visiting with friends and family along the way, but her trip to Jerusalem was by far her favorite destiny. It was always with great pride that Judy would report about her children and grandchildren. Her generosity and compassion were felt by all who crossed paths with her.
