Joseph F. Roberts Ex-Policeman, 82
Joseph F. Roberts, a retired member of the New York Police Department died yesterday at the Kingsway Hospital where he had been a patient four days. He was 82, and lived at 1620 E. 36th Street.
Mr. Roberts, a native of England was brought to this country as a child and had lived in Brooklyn, since. For many years he was attached to the Butler Street Police Station serving most of the time as a detective. He also had been stationed at the Oak Street Station. He retired in 1914.
Surviving are his widow Mrs. Anna Smith Roberts two daughters Mrs. Agnes Logan, and Mrs. Mary Brown, and four sons John, Edwin, Vincent, and Arthur Roberts.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 10am from the McManus Funeral Home, 2001 Flatbush Avenue. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery
