Virginia Dale Griffin Odam, 61, of Hoboken died Thursday evening (Jan. 24, 2008) at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Nashville, (Berrien Co) GA to the late Ottis M. Griffin and Eula Boyd Griffin. Mrs. Odam lived most of her life in Hoboken. Her and her husband owned Bob's Mower and Saw Shop in Waycross where she was the bookkeeper and was a jack of all trades. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert A. "Bob" Odam, Hoboken, one daughter, Kelly Cox (Ashley), Hoboken, one son, Royce Odam (Angie), Hilliard, FL, one brother, James Derry Griffin (Mary), Pheonix City, AL, special niece, Cindy Crews (Brooks), Hoboken, special nephew, James Griffin, Hoboken, five grandchildren, Colby Odam, Blayne Odam, Braydan Odam, Brett Crews, Lexi Crews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm at Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in High Bluff Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 - 8 pm at Miles-Odum Funeral Home.
